Just made it back on Saturday night (well, Sunday morning!) from the Canaries after more volcanic ash got in the way of flying. The plane had to detour round past Corsica (apparently - actually it was too dark to see anything out of the plane window...).
Anyway now home in Scotland. And desperately trying to get my rucksack packed for the Challenge. I have managed to persuade Him Indoors to give me a lift to Mallaig on Thursday - that saves me having to leave here on Wednesday afternoon for comfortable connections on Thursday morning.
I still have loads of things to do - including printing out my route and working out how to post to this blog by mobile phone.
At the moment it's a distinct possibility that I won't be able to lift the rucksack never mind carry it.............

I have the son-in-law round for tea - then I shall do the food parcels and pack. Tomorrow I am off for the Chally haircut and posdt the parcels and then down to Euston for the sleeper to Glasgow.!
Good luck Miss!
I'm foregoing the haircut - too traumatic! I'm also going to try it without food parcels! (I'll either be very hungry or full of chips...)
Haircut? Grass cut? Toenails cut?
Sounds like a coalition...
