Challenge withdrawal symptoms...........

Yes, I just had a wave of great disappointment about having to pull out of the Challenge this year. Now I'm not worrying so much about my daughter's health it's all come flooding in.

I know I could walk coast to coast another time without the Challenge tag but a great part of the enjoyment for me is meeting other folk doing the same. I love the way we meet up, maybe walk together for a while, or camp nearby, then go our separate ways.

So I'm wondering if I can do a few days on the Yorkshire Wolds Way while I'm here in Yorkshire. I would like to walk the whole thing of course but that would take the best part of a week. It would have to be fitted in around delivering and collecting my grandson from nursery every day.  There are some public transport options that I'm exploring. It would be really good to include an overnight somewhere as I've still got my tent etc with me.

Perhaps I can even persuade a few others to join me for some days? Let me know if you're interested!

Piggly and I would definitely be up for that, if we can get there and back in time.

Last time I saw you, you were waving, in fact....
Unfortunately,I have insufficient Good Boy Points for a Wolds Way jaunt, much as I'd like to.
Enjoy it, though - it'll be a blast, specially with the wiglets in tow.

Sounds like great fun! I have a new solo tent to play with, but I don't think I'm going to be allowed out, I've got to earn lots of smartie points if I'm going to try a solo Challenge next year. Yikes!
Hope you have a great time, you deserve a bit of a treat.

If only you could drag Yorkshire a bit closer to the Flatlands... As Lord E would say, Britain is a very poorly organised country - all the good bits are spaced too far apart.
Have a good walk Laura - shame about the TGO, but loved ones come first.
