Mini-rant...........

Here are a couple of thoughts.

Why do so many sellers on eBay and other web based businesses find sending parcels to France so abhorrent? I've had several quite rude responses to requests to send goods to me here even though I offer more postage to cover the costs.

Why do 'couriers' think it's ok to leave parcels in totally inappropriate places? The worst I can think of is one who left a parcel in the recycling bin! She did put a note through the door to say so HOWEVER it wasn't my door! Or my bin!

A recent order from Cotton Traders which I wanted sent to my sister's house so I could pick it up when I was in the UK, went to my house in Scotland, apparently because it was my first order with that company. I warned them I would not be there. My neighbour found the parcel on the doorstep last week!

GGGRRRR!

[I feel much better now I've got all that out of my system...........]

Afterthought.....
I could also add to this rant some words specially for those companies who want more postage if you live in what they delight in calling the 'Scottish Highlands'.............but I'm feeling too polite!

Very annoying re: the parcel sent to the wrong place!

A couple of years ago I sold some spare guitars and stuff on Ebay, and I hung around in the forums for a while. From what I read there I reckon that peeps are sometimes unwilling to send things abroad because either they've had bad experiences in the past (many people reported, for instance, Americans complaining about postage, or saying after the event that they thought the prices were in dollars) or because they've read about other people's bad experiences. Bearing in mind that you're from the UK, though (and therefore speak the language fluently), and also that you've offered appropriate postage, it seems a pity that you can't get them to send things to you :(
